Some people say that experienced doctors are better than young doctors, and I would have to agree. I feel this way for two main reasons. First, experienced doctors have seen more patients, and in return made more diagnoses than young doctors. This means that they can use background knowledge to examine new patients and come up with treatment plans faster. In addition to this, experienced doctors are more mature. Young doctors come into the field straight from medical school, so they are used to being at university. They have probably not mastered their bedside manner, and may handle some situations inappropriately, such as notifying the family of a death. I would much rather have an experienced doctor tell me serious news, rather than someone who is young and may not know what they are doing. For these two reasons, I believe experienced doctors are better than young doctors.
