I prefer to learn on my own for two reasons. The first reason is I prefer to learn at my own pace. If you have someone teaching you, they might push you to learn, which is good for some people, but I do not enjoy it. The second reason is I am a firm believer that you will remember and understand the material that you are learning better if you teach yourself. I was having trouble with a math problem, so I asked my friend for help. He tried to teach me his method of solving it, but it was a unique way and specific to him. I ended up doing it on my own and found my own method of solving the problem. I can still use that method today, but I forgot my friend's method the next day. Therefore, these reasons are why I prefer to learn on my own.
