I think that it is important for young people to learn domestic skills. To begin, these are skills that both boys and girls will have to master into adulthood, so getting a jump start is fantastic. Learning the proper way to do these things when they are younger will make moving away from home less of a shock. In addition to this, I think it is important for family members to help each other out. My mom was a “working-mom”, so we all had chores in our household to help her out. This took a lot of stress off of her and also taught us kids about responsibility. So for these two reasons, I believe that the housework should be split up between all the family members and it is important for young people to learn household skills.
