I think that children should have the choice whether they would like to continue to learn a musical instrument. I believe that there are many important things in life, but the ability to learn an instrument is not one of them. First, a child can have many different hobbies that can be beneficial to their lives, such as writing, reading, or playing a sport. If they prefer to do these extracurricular activities rather than instruments, I don’t see any harm. In addition to this, I think it is important to remember that everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. When it comes to someone playing an instrument, or being a musician, we must remember that it doesn’t come naturally for everyone. For these two reasons, I think that children should have a choice whether or not they continue their musical lessons.
