While some people prefer to give their opinions immediately, I would rather wait and listen to others before giving my own. I feel this way for two main reasons. First, I am a bit of a passive-aggressive person, and I don’t want to offend anyone. There have been many times when I’ve found my foot in my mouth and accidentally said something that hurt someone’s feelings. For example, my friend asked me if I liked sparkly clothes. I said “No, I think they are tacky” and she was getting ready to show me the new sparkly shirt she bought. This was uncomfortable. Also, I like to wait to give my opinion because I like to see all different views on subject matters. If I give my opinion first, someone may feel obligated to agree with me so I don’t get to hear what others have to say.
