Given the wide benefits to many people, I think countries should offer incentives to car companies that make alternative fuel vehicles. First of all, as out global environment changes, it is up to governments to do all they can to help protect the environment, even through economic incentives. Secondly, in many large cities the pollution caused by gas-powered cars creates health hazards for citizens that could be curbed if there were more alternative energy cars on the road. Therefore, for the benefit of the environment and the citizens of a country, car companies should have incentives for creating alternative cars.
