I do not think that the government should forbid violence and bad language in TV programs. To begin, I think that everyone should have a freedom of speech and when you start to censor one part of life, it can get out of control very quickly. TV programs and movies should be allowed to use whatever language they want, as long as they warn parents that it may be inappropriate for a younger audience. Moreover, I think that some shows are better because of the foul language that is used. Sometimes it is fun to watch shows with words that we don’t say on a daily basis. For instance, the show Orange is the New Black is filled with bad language, but it can be fun to be taken to a world far away from my own through the use of language. So, for these two reasons, I do not think that the government should forbid violence and bad language in TV programs.
